Dr. Yousheng Liu, Associate Professor. He received a joint PhD scholarship from the China Scholarship Council for participation the Australia CSIRO – Chinese Ministry of Education Joint Supervision of Chinese PhD student project. He was an associate research fellow in the state key laboratory of organic geochemistry, Guangzhou institute of geochemistry, Chinese academy of sciences in 2012-2017. His research interests focus on pollution sources, pollution characteristics and environmental fate of emerging organic pollutants. He is currently conducting research in emerging science areas such as benzotriazoles, organic UV filters and pharmaceuticals and personal care products in the environment, and environmental issues associated with decentralized wastewater treatment and biosolid reuse as well as water quality improvement technology. His research has been supported by funding from the National Sciences Foundation of China (NSFC), NSFC - Guangdong provincial joint fund project and Guangzhou key scientific research project, etc. He has published more than 60 SCI papers (13 papers by first author and correspondence author) in various international journals including Water Research, Environmental Science & Technology and Bioresource Technology with a citation of >1000.
